Happy New Year guys!!! A new year means we’ll be seeing a lot more of our favourite celebs in Upcoming Bollywood Movies 2020. Of course, how does one write a review of films that haven’t been released yet? Well, I’ve already made up my mind about what I want to watch!
Here is My List Of Top 10 Upcoming Bollywood Movies 2020:
1. Malang
Malang is the early bird of releases and is expected to be out by February 7th. Director Mohit Suri stars Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor in this Bollywood revenge-drama and is shot entirely in Varanasi and Shimla. The film is Suri’s second project with Kapur after Aashiqui 2, that sees Anil Kapoor in a negative role as a funny cop.
2. Laal Singh Chaddha
Amir Khan stars in this soon to be a blockbuster. All there is to show about this film are some shots from set shared on Twitter, but LSC will only come during Christmas – so that’s a long time. Amir has announced that he will be starring in a Hindi remake of Forrest Gumpdirected by Advait Chandan. Could this be the movie he was talking about? – only time will tell.
3. Panga
Ashwini Iyer Tiwari recreates the story of a national level Kabbadi player from India. It follows her triumphs, struggles, and overcoming stereotypes. It shows how important the love and support of your family is for you to be successful.Kangana Ranaut plays the unconventional lead – a mom who gave up her nationalKabbadi player career until her son and husband tell her otherwise. Can she reboot her career at 32?
4. Chhapaak
Meghna Gulzar directs Deepika Padukone in this drama about trials and triumphs of Malti, a woman who survived acid attacks. The story includes the full court proceedings of the attack, the investigations that took place, her medical treatment and the powerful journey or her emotional healing – all while winning everyone over with her unquashable human spirit.
5. Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship
Bhanu Pratap Singh directs Vicky Kaushal in this his debut in the horror genre with Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship – not for the faint-hearted as it’s unlike the horror-comedies I’ve seen so far. As you can tell, it takes place on board a haunted ship or ‘ghost ship’ that washed ashore on the coast a few years ago. What is even spooky is that the ship is still floating, and it remained undetected when on the water. The strange part is that no one knows what happened to the crew, except for someone or something inside!
6. Jawaani Jaaneman
Saif Ali Khan plays a young guy who believes in living life to the fullest in this romantic comedy. Except that he’s too old for it! He plays a guy who should be settling down and getting serious as advised by family and friends but Saif has other plans!
7. Chhalaang
Another late release, this movie is a Bollywood comedy-drama made by Hansal Mehta, starring lesser-known Nushrat Bharucha and Rajkummar Rao in the lead roles. Based in a small village in Uttar Pradesh, we see the two leads live their life and love through though social norms.
8. Tanhaji
After almost a decade, Ajay Devgn and Kajol will star opposite each other in this superb historical drama. Tanhaji takes you back to the 17th century battle between the Marathas and the Mughals. This time it isn’t star crossed love but about the life of a military leader in Chhatrapati Shivaji’s army calledTanhajiMalusare. Saif Ali Khan will make a short stint as the bad guy Mughal commander Uday Bhan. Tanhaji leads his men into battle againstBhan. The film also stars Kajol as Tanhaji’s wife Savitribai Malusare.
9. The True Story of Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl
Jahnvi Kapoor will make her first serious role in this biopic about Gunjan Saxena – India’s first Air Force woman officer who went to war. Gunjan Saxena flew into the combat zone during the Kargil War to evacuate injured soldiers from Kargil in 1999. Under heavy fire, both she and lieutenant Srividya Rajan, managed to bring the soldiers home – the first woman to do so and she was awarded the Shaurya Chakra.
10. Shubh Mangal ZyadaSaavdhan
If you’re really looking for some bindass, then this film is a must. Only it’s a fun film with a very important message. This Hitesh Kewalyamovie brings about awareness about homosexuality using the mainstream cinema.SMZS is a comedy-drama film following the romance between two men, played by Ayushman Khurana and Jitendra Kumar.
